Australia
Australia, “The Land Down Under” is the Home of Crocodile Dundee, Steve Irwin, koalas, kangaroos, and 20 million people who have yet to understand the importance of Jesus Christ.
In 2003 Australia experienced a severe drought that is only a shadow of the spiritual drought the country has faced for decades. Though this nation thirsts for water, they unknowingly thirst for the living water found only in Jesus. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says; “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.”
Since the Upper Midwest began a partnership with Griffith University in the city of Brisbane, God has slowly opened the floodgates and students at Griffith have begun to experience spiritual revival, a revival that could literally spread around the globe as students from un-reached countries in the Middle East, South East Asia, and Europe come to Griffith to study, eventually taking what they have learned home with them.
Are you willing to bring healing to a dry and barren land in desperate need of a Savior? Are you willing to step out in faith to share Christ with a generation who understands your language and your culture but doesn’t understand your God? Are you willing to take a stand for Jesus in a country where taking a stand goes against the grain of society?
